"You look really happy," Finn said. They were changing in the locker rooms after a particularly exerting practice session. Puck was currently spraying half a can of Axe all over himself as he always did. Finn had the feeling he went through at least three of those a week.

"What do you mean?" Puck asked, throwing the deodorant unceremoniously into his locker and slamming it shut with his foot.

"I dunno, you're kinda like... glowing," Finn shrugged.

Puck glared at him. "Dude, stop making me sound so girly!"

Kurt chose that moment to emerge out of the showers in his fluffy white bathrobe, toweling his hair. "Hello, boys!" he said cheerfully to the both of them before sitting down next to Finn. "That was a particularly rough session wasn't it? I think Coach Tanaka needs a new way to vent his frustrations than through us."

He gave a furtive little smile at Puck, who noticed it immediately. The corner of his mouth lifted in response into his trademark smirk.

"So why are you so happy?" Finn rewound to their original conversation. His bag was still on the bench next to him, so Puck knew that he was expecting a reply.

He glanced at Kurt, who looked back at him with wide eyes, no longer smiling. He could tell that he was worried about his answer, about how secretive they were going to be. They hadn't even talked about how they would handle their relationship in public.

Puck squared his jaw and looked directly at Finn. "I'm seeing someone. That's why."

Finn frowned and Kurt dropped his towel in surprise. He quickly gathered it before Finn could notice and hid his face behind it, pretending to dry his hair.

"You are? Who are you seeing?"

In two steps, Puck was in front of Kurt and pulled him upright before crashing their lips together. Kurt, who wasn't expecting this at all, nearly bit on his tongue in surprise. But soon Puck was, he knew no other way to describe it, totally making love to his mouth. And how he was enjoying it! Unfortunately, they pulled away soon enough. Puck looked at his best friend who was staring with his mouth agape while Kurt tried to compose himself.

"There. You happy now?"

Finn shook his head and stared dumbly, although that was nothing new. "Wait..." he finally said, "You and... Kurt? Whoa..."

Puck held up a hand to silence his ramblings. "Look man, don't ask how it happened, 'cause I'm not too sure myself. But yeah, we're dating."

"So you're... gay?"

Puck bristled, still not comfortable with the label. Fortunately, Kurt had recovered enough to rescue him from the awkward moment. "We're the most unlikely pair, aren't we?" he laughed nervously, "Don't worry, sometimes I still think this is all a dream too."

"Oh really?" Puck grinned and pinched his ass. Kurt jumped in surprise and hit his arm, not looking pleased. "Noah, not in public! I thought we agreed I was teaching you to be more dignified."

"You called him Noah," Finn said. Even he, who had been friends with Puck since first grade, never called him that. Even for someone who didn't pick up on things fast, that was enough to let him know that Puck was damn serious. He never let anyone outside of his family and teachers call him that.

"Yes," Kurt said softly; he understood the seriousness of this fact. "He said I could."

Finn looked at Puck, who stared back unblinkingly. He was not seeking approval, but Finn knew that he was also afraid of his reaction. He could tell by the way his best friend had shoved his hands in his pockets. Finally, Finn stood up and clapped a hand on Puck's shoulder.

"Congrats, man. Kurt's a great guy."

Puck raised an eyebrow. "So you're okay with this?"

"Well, it's still kind of a shock, you know? But I mean, I never expected you to join glee or Kurt to join football, so I guess it kind of makes sense. But, um..." he leaned in close to the two and lowered his voice, "You guys do know you might get slushied until you graduate, right? I mean, if you decide to go public with this."

Kurt and Puck glanced at each other, both looking a bit apprehensive. Kurt slipped his hand imperceptibly into his and said, "It's your decision, Noah. I don't want to push you into anything."

The fact that Kurt was letting him back down if he wanted to touched Puck. He knew Kurt would rather be out and loud, but respected him enough to let him make a decision. And Puck did. He squared his shoulders, tightened his hold on his boyfriend's hand (that's right, Kurt was now his boyfriend) and said the same words he had said to Rachel when he had rejoined the Glee club.

"Bring it."

~*~*~*~

To say that news traveled fast at McKinley High was an understatement. So little happened in their small town that whatever juicy gossip the students could get ahold of became THE topic to talk about for weeks. And this was definitely no small piece of news.

On a bright and sunny Tuesday morning, Noah Puckerman, badass jock and member of the Glee club was seen holding hands with Kurt Hummel, who was not sporting the usual dumpster-diving banana-peels-on-shoulder look.

They walked down the hallway together, fingers firmly clasped and making their way to Spanish class. Kurt was all smiles, barely noticing the stares of students. For the first time in his life, he truly felt whole, as if nothing could hurt him. He had worn his extra-nice clothes today, which may have contributed to his feeling wonderful.
Puck was strutting about arrogantly as he always did, but made sure to give his best death glare to anyone who stared at them funny, sending quite a few students scurrying away from them.

Most of the girls squealed and gushed about how cute of a couple they made. Mercedes and Rachel smiled knowingly at each other while the other members of Glee cheered them on. Many of the jocks looked at them a lot less favorably. Sue Sylvester just rolled her eyes and barked at everyone to get to their classrooms before she threw her clipboard at someone.

Things went smoothly enough until they went onto the football field after school. Puck had anticipated that they would get some less than friendly reactions, but he wasn't afraid. After all, it's not like he hadn't been in fights before and he knew that he was stronger than the rest of them. Plus, he was certain that Finn would back him up.

Kurt on the other hand, just seemed to realize that they were headed into a deathtrap and began to shake slightly. He thought he spotted half of the football players holding what looked like slushie cups in their hands and groaned. He grabbed onto Puck's arm and pulled him to a halt. Puck stopped and looked at him questioningly.

"I don't know if I can do this," he said fearfully, "I've gotten slushied before but I can feel their glares radiating even from this distance."

"Dude, you worry too much. They got used to me being in Glee, they got used to you being in football." Kurt stared at him and he hastily added, "OK, maybe they didn't get used to it, but they shut up about it at least. It'll be the same thing with this."

"I'm not so sure about that," Kurt said, but Puck pulled him towards the team. None of the boys looked too happy, and Coach Tanaka hadn't arrived yet, which meant that they had enough time to stir some shit up.

"I can't believe it," one of the players said, "Puckerman is actually a fag."

Puck took a menacing step towards him, but Kurt put a hand on his arm and quickly said, "Don't! There's no need to debase ourselves to their primate levels." He seemed to have regained some of his diva courage; perhaps Puck's firm stance had inspired him.

"Yeah, you better listen to your girlfriend, fag. Wouldn't want to ruin your pretty nails, would ya?"

Puck threw his helmet on the ground with such violent force that he created a mini crater on the field. He glared at each of his teammates with such vehement anger that his handsome features became twisted, and truly made him more frightening. Even Kurt was slightly afraid of him at that moment.

"I don't give a fuck what you think," he said in a dangerously low voice, "You can throw as many slushies at me as you want. But if you do anything to my boyfriend, I will shove my fist so far up your asses that I will pull your balls inside out."

Some of the boys visibly crossed their legs and took a few steps back. Noah Puckerman was not a guy to be messed with, but this was the most vicious they had ever seen him. Kurt was in awe at once again seeing a side of Puck he never would have guessed was there. Not only had Puck called him his boyfriend, but he had also threatened his assailants with something he wasn't sure was anatomically possible. The pleasant heat in Kurt's chest unfurled all the way to his toes and he couldn't help the smile that spread on his face.

Coach Tanaka arrived and yelled at everyone to gather round, effectively saving the two from any guys brave enough to retaliate. But instead of listening to the speech on tactics, Kurt was too busy admiring Puck. He knew that his high school life had definitely taken a turn for the better and thanked his lucky stars for sending him an amazing guy who, admittedly wasn't the brightest and was definitely crude, brash, perverted and totally uncultured, but he was also caring, sweet (although Puck would kill him for calling him that) and (this was important in Kurt's book) a pretty good singer.

Sure, he got kicked in the shins more often than usual, but Kurt decided that it was totally worth it. And it was nothing some concealer and distilled witch hazel couldn't fix.

~*~*~*~

The week went by quickly, and although Puck had gotten two blueberry and one cherry slushie to the face from guys who had gotten him as he rounded a corner (too chickenshit to let him see who they were, he thought), he wasn't about to back down. If there was one thing Puck couldn't resist, it was someone challenging his badassness. He was dating a guy, so what? That did not make him any less manly or awesome, he decided. Also, Kurt had helped him clean his clothes (he was after all, an expert in ten-minute cleanups after all the dumpster dives he had experienced) and had let Puck run his hands under his shirt while he was washing his hair.

Puck wondered when the hell Kurt would decide to put out. He had proven how amazing he was, and he thought it was time he got a reward. After all, Puck was a hormonal teenager and he had needs, dammit. He had promised to be monogamous, not celibate. Although when Kurt had asked if he owned a pair of crocs and he had replied, "Yeah, yellow ones", his boyfriend had visibly blanched. He had the feeling then that he had just lessened his chances of getting any. Maybe if he "accidentally" ripped his shirt during rehearsal sometime...

"We need to talk." Quinn was standing in front of him, her arms folded. Puck had been absently strumming his guitar in the empty choir room, mulling over his lack of booty from Kurt and wasn't really in the mood, but he saw how serious Quinn look and reluctantly put his guitar down.

" 'Sup?"

"Are you really dating Kurt?" she asked.

"Yeah. I'm sure the girls told you all about it."

She did not look happy. "So you slept with me, got me pregnant, and now all of a sudden you're gay?"

Puck stared at her, unsure of where she was going with this. "What's the big deal? You don't want me to help you raise it anyway and you said so yourself, you're gonna keep swearing the baby is Finn's until you die."

Quinn's eyes teared up and she slapped him hard. Puck clutched his stinging cheek and gaped at her as she starting yelling. "I wouldn't have to be pregnant if you had come to terms with your sexuality sooner instead of you needing to 'assert your manliness'! I never asked for any of this!"

"I never asked for it either!" Puck shouted, also getting angry. "I didn't know I was gonna end up dating Kurt, okay? It just sort of happened!"

"And does your boyfriend know?" Quinn countered scathingly.

Before Puck could answer, a voice behind them asked, "Know about what?"

They both turned around to see Kurt standing in the doorway with his bag slung over his shoulder. He had come to pick Puck up and go home together. He looked at Quinn's tear-stained face and then at Puck, his eyebrows creased in confusion.

"What's going on?"

Quinn folded her arms and looked at Puck expectantly, who felt his stomach drop to the floor. This was not happening to him. Shit.

A/N: Cliffhanger! Seriously, I'm not sure how I'm going to write the next part yet. I'll probably work on my gleekret fic first, but I won't keep this hanging for too long.
